Video is proving to be the most engaging form of media you can use, and that makes the music video scene more competitive than ever. There are plenty of good cameramen out there, each one with their own strengths and weaknesses. One of these directors I've been watching over the last year or so is Marko Steez.
With equipment becoming more affordable and accessible, it takes more than fancy tools to capture the emotion of an artists music. At only the age of 19, Steez has already traveled the country filming some amazing pieces, including event coverage, concert footage, and music videos.
"The story behind the video itself is that we wanted to show the artist's feelings towards the rap game and also show him in Miami where he now lives. Me and Ron settled on the idea of using a boxing gym called "Fight Club" in Miami because we thought it would help give the viewers the feeling of Ron "hitting" the rap game. Also in the video are car mount shots on a blue Bentley, a black backdrop performance, and scenes of Ron at his residence in Miami."
